Google Chrome

Google Chrome – это браузер, обеспечивающий более удобную, быструю и безопасную работу в Интернете, который имеет облегчающий работу упрощенный дизайн. Chrome спроектирован сотрудниками Google с нуля, а для обработки HTML использует движок Webkit, который уже применяет браузер Apple Safari.
В отличие от других браузеров, Chrome для стабильности оформляет каждую вкладку как отдельный процесс. В случае, если содержимое вкладки зависнет, ее можно будет закрыть без риска потерять все данные в браузере.
Как заявляют разработчики, в Chrome оптимизирован механизм JavaScript, что позволяет ему работать быстрее и стабильнее. Согласно тесту скорости JavaScript, скорость обработки скриптов в Chrome примерно соответствует скорости последних версий браузера Opera.

Chrome on stable channel has been updated to 8.0.552.237 for all platforms.

We’re delighted to offer our first “elite” $3133.7 Chromium Security Reward to Sergey Glazunov. Critical bugs are harder to come by in Chrome, but Sergey has done it. Sergey also collects a $1337 reward and several other rewards at the same time, so congratulations Sergey!

Also of note is a clarification on our default charity policy. Some researchers are unable to accept rewards, or even provide a suggestion for a charity. In such cases, it feels like a shame to lose a charitable contribution so we will default reward money to the Red Cross.

Мне хром нравится тем, что в нем задаешь - искать в английском вебе, он и ищет в английском. Когда я пытаюсь искать что-то в других браузерах, гугль все равно впихивает по айпи русские сайты. Вообще, поисковик, конечно, можно и для оперы настроить, в хроме как-то это функция на виду и понятнее, удобнее.

Залогинься на гугле и настрой, на каком языке искать - и будет тебе счастье в любом браузере.

Здравствуйте.
У меня проблема в том, что на предприятии при печати pdf-a в формате Portait либо Landscape, принтер автоматом это регулирует. Но как только этот pdf, дается на печать из браузера (crhome), orientation Landscape не поддерживается. Помогите кто сталкивался с такой проблемой. Может плагин к хрому нужен. Только какой?

По-моему сравнение Хрома с Оперой вполне можно сопоставить со сравнением редактора для программистов с полноценной IDE.
Юзаю SRWare Iron (браузер на основе Хромиума) как легковесный браузер для открытия локальных хтмл-шек, ссылок в программах и разных сайтов, для которых критична скорость (флеш-игры, например, в нем куда лучше идут), но по инету в основном в Опере разгуливаю. И довольно неплохой дуэт получается - тем более, что у Оперы в контекстном меню есть пункт "Открыть в ->" со списком всех установленных браузеров. А чисто Хромом один фиг сыт не будешь: он, к примеру, MHT вообще открывать не умеет.

Опера по глючности рендера вёрстки может сравниться разве что с ИЕ, так что Оперу фтопку

Единственный минус Chrome, это то, что при сохранении каких либо файлов он виснет и приходится перезапускаться удаляя при этом еще и .crdownload. А так все замечательно
